Knorr Family Adventures

Milan was our last stop on the way home and Chris has been to Milan before. The only thing we did there was see the Milan cathedral and walk a bit around the old city that’s right next to the cathedral.   It’s kind of a weird city since the city and the cathedral don’t seem to match each other. After a bit of a line, we did   the one thing that is an absolute must in Milan – we climbed onto the roof the cathedral.   It’s nearly flat as you can see an entire city but what is more interesting you can see the intricate stone work up close.   For some reason even though I don't like heights, it’s not scary unless you do not have 4 year old children who want to run away from you because there are no real protections   to keep them from falling down. We kind of have not done too much lately so here is another addition of random facts from our life :) In January the temperatures dipped down to teens in Fahrenheit (negative let’s say 5C) – while not absolutely freezing, still rather chilly.   Grandma left us in the second week of January just as the boys went back to school, then Chris left the following week so it was a bit odd to have such a quiet house.  He has not traveled much but the schedule is definitely filling up.  Slowly but surely the spring is coming.  It's been getting up to mid-50F for about 2 weeks now. Anton saw his bowel doctor who officially said that we don’t have to come back unless more issues come up which is absolutely thrilling.  I am not sure how important it is "to be released" from a specialist but I feel better knowing we followed through and he is now official better. Most people would not put Amalfi Coast and Pompei   together but I am not most people!   Honestly, both are absolutely worth the visit to see with your own eyes but also neither one is worthy of an actual individual post unless I was an amazing travel photographer. Amalfi Coast was absolutely beautiful – it’s funny because there is really not much to say about it.   The drive is a bit scary because ... oh so often you are driving on an extremely narrow path at fairly high speeds.   All throughout the drive there are spots where you can stop and take pictures which we did a couple of times, and unfortunately the days we were there were a bit hazy.  It did not take away from the beauty but it does take away some of the amazing sun from the pictures.
